China Earthquake Death Toll Rises
On Saturday, April 17 Chinese officials said 1,1044 people were dead and another 417- still missing.
The 6.9 magnitude tremor shook China's Qinghai province last Wednesday,April 14, leaving thousands out in the cold in makeshift tents.
Rescue operations continue, but hopes of finding anyone alive under the rubble are fading.
Officials say More than 1,000 people are seriously injured many suffering from severe wounds and have been transported to larger cities for treatment.
