Calif. power grid, nuclear plants OK after quake

LOS ANGELES-An earthquake centered east of Los Angeles on Tuesday morning did not hinder operations on the state's power grid nor damage the state's two nuclear power plants, utility and state officials said."The grid is in good shape," said Gregg Fishman of the California Independent System Operator. "There is no impact that we can see at this point."Both the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station between Los Angeles and San Diego and the Diablo Canyon nuclear plant about 200 miles northeast of Los Angeles sustained no damage and were operating normally, utility officials said. http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUKN2936118320080729
