Taipei - Taiwan sent a medical team to China's Qinghai province on Sunday to provide assistance to earthquake survivors, local media reported.The national Red Cross dispatched the 20-member team of doctors and nurses from three hospitals to Qinghai provincial capital Xining.The team planned to bring 3.3 tons of medicine and supplies, but was restricted to 1 ton of cargo by airline rules, officials said.The Taiwan Red Cross also donated 100,000 US dollars in assistance to the affected region, and launched a donation drive to raise more funds for Qinghai survivors.
